We spent a fortnight here early March and really enjoyed our stay, The staff are all amazing and are a credit to the hotel. We made friends with many and I will not mention anyone in particular to prevent leaving someone out. The hotel is very clean all food and drink areas are spotless and seem to be cleaned 24 hours a day. The standard room we had in Block 11 was spacious with free air con, safe and the toiletries, tea and coffee and certain fridge items were replenished daily. We had the pleasure of a delightful weeks break here at the end of February. As mentioned in many posts the grounds, rooms, gardens, pool toilets and restaurants are spotlessly clean. We were in block 15 which was very convenient for access to main pool, beach and restaurants.

Our cleaner Abraham worked tirelessly and was always happy and polite. Our 13 year old son was treated like a little superstar by all the staff, during one meal a waiter used his name to order him a Fanta with the barman, I loved this! Whilst we never managed to make it to flavours our speciality evenings at downtown and sofra were so much fun!!!!

The little touches like getting to decorate your table cover at downtown with crayons, and the hilarious Mohammed at sofra just added to the excellent culinary. Place is a bit older and needs updating in places but still clean rooms, gardens, pool beach was nice and the location with sea and jetty makes it.

The food and drinks and to some extent service is very variable. Staff try hard but think they lack training and guidance. Cocktails were awful and i know you only get local beer, wine and spirits at these locations but the Egyptian stuff they serve is really bad. I had a brandy one night which tasted life antifreeze you'd put in your car, and even a cup of coffee wasn't consistent at the same bar. The cocktails either had no alcohol or way too much and they tasted terrible.

Diving areaThe Red Sea is considered to be one of the world's prettiest and most flamboyant divers' paradises. The temperatures of this tropical water never drop below 22°C. As it is nearly an enclosed sea area in which no rivers flow the water of the Red Sea is extremely clean and transparent. However the major attraction for divers and snorkelers definitely are the numerous fringing reefs.The diving site can be conveniently accessed via the hotel owned, stable jetty. The team transports the equipment to the platform, from where the reef is accessed.

Exit is via the dive ladder. Directly beneath the access point is a sandy platform, approximately on 5 meters depth, where a large coral block is located. Towards the outer reef the seabed gently slopes to a depth of 20 meters. The fringing reef is heavily overgrown with hard corals and offers livelihood to many fish species. In particular blue spotted rays and moray eels are to be encountered very often. The base is exclusively equipped with 'Mares' rental equipment.
